Warranty

ACTILUM RGB, S.L., manufacturer and distributor of professional LED lighting solutions, offers a commercial warranty applicable to products distributed and installed in the European Union, according to the conditions established in this document.

This general warranty applies to all ACTILUM products except those with specific warranty conditions published for the product, which shall prevail in case of discrepancy.

For the purposes of this commercial guarantee, the guarantor is ACTILUM RGB, S.L. (address: Arquímedes 3 08930 Sant Adriá de Bésos (Barcelona), email: [email protected], NIF: B65372666).

1 – Duration of warranty

ACTILUM RGB, S.L. grants a commercial warranty of up to five (5) years from the date of delivery (according to the date indicated on the invoice or purchase receipt or, if later, the one stated on the delivery note) for products whose nominal useful life is equal to or greater than 56,000 hours, according to the specifications indicated in the technical documentation of the product.

For products with a shorter rated life, the applicable warranty shall be two (2) years, unless otherwise stated in the product documentation.

The particular conditions of certain products may establish specific warranty or luminous performance criteria, which will complement or replace the conditions described in this general warranty.

2 – Lifetime and luminous efficiency

The lifetime of LED systems is defined by the Lx parameter, which indicates the percentage of luminous flux that the product maintains after a certain number of operating hours.

• L90 means that the product maintains 90% of the initial luminous flux, which corresponds to a luminous loss of 10% after a certain number of hours of use.
• L70 means that the product maintains 70% of the initial luminous flux, which corresponds to a luminous loss of 30% after a certain number of hours of use.

The exact times associated with these values are given in the datasheet for each product.

In professional LED lighting, a system is generally considered to reach the end of its functional lifetime when the luminous flux is reduced to 70% of the initial value (L70), even if the product continues to operate.

3 – Installation log

For activation of the 5-year warranty, ACTILUM may require product installation registration.

This record must be submitted no later than 60 days from the date of issuance of the invoice and include:

• Location of the installation
• Installation conditions
• Electrical connection
• Final solution configuration

ACTILUM will be able to validate the correct installation based on this information.

This registration may only be required as a condition for the extension or activation of the 5-year commercial warranty. In the case of sales to consumers, the lack of registration does not affect the legal guarantee of conformity or the legally stipulated corrective measures free of charge.

The data provided in the registration will be treated in accordance with the current data protection regulations; more information at privacy policy.

4 – Installation conditions

The warranty will be valid only when:

• Product is installed in accordance with the manufacturer’s technical documentation
• The specified temperature or voltage limits are not exceeded.
• Product is not subjected to mechanical loads
• Installation is carried out by qualified personnel
• The product is not modified or altered from its original condition

The use of the product should be limited to the applications for which it was designed.

In special installations or environments with extreme environmental conditions it will be necessary to have a previous written agreement with ACTILUM RGB, S.L.

5 – Compatibility with external components

When the installation incorporates elements not supplied by ACTILUM RGB, S.L., such as:

• Power supplies
• Controllers
• Amplifiers
• Programmers
• Dimmers or other control systems

The warranty will be conditioned to the technical validation of compatibility by ACTILUM RGB, S.L.

6 – Warranty exclusions

The warranty does not cover damage resulting from:

• Mechanical shock or damage
• Incorrect transport or handling
• Incorrect installation or use outside technical specifications
• Modification or manipulation of the product
• Electrical surges or inadequate power supply
• Lack of maintenance or cleanliness

7 – Costs not included

In the case of sales to consumers, this paragraph does not limit the free remedial measures of the legal warranty of conformity, which includes the costs necessary to bring the good into conformity (e.g. shipping/transportation, labor and materials) and, where applicable, removal and installation or their costs.

The commercial warranty does not include:

• Installation or uninstallation costs
• Costs of assembly or disassembly of the final solution
• Auxiliary means necessary for the intervention (scaffolding, cranes, lifts, etc.).
• Damage due to system downtime
• Economic losses or indirect damages resulting from the incidence

8 – Incident resolution

In the event of an incident covered by warranty, within the framework of this commercial warranty, ACTILUM RGB, S.L. may choose to:

• Product repair
• Replacement with equivalent or technically upgraded product
• Reimbursement of the purchase price of the affected product

The replaced products may incorporate technical improvements or design modifications derived from technological evolution.

In the case of sales to consumers, the rights and modalities of rectification, bringing into conformity, price reduction or termination of the contract shall be governed by the legal guarantee of conformity, and the commercial guarantee does not affect such measures.

When this commercial warranty is considered as a commercial guarantee of durability offered by the producer, ACTILUM will be directly liable to the consumer for the repair or replacement during the period offered, without prejudice to more favorable conditions.

9 – Complaint procedure

Incidents must be notified in writing within a maximum period of 15 days (this period operates only for the purposes of managing the commercial warranty and in no way limits the exercise of the legal guarantee of conformity in the case of consumers) from the detection of the anomaly, providing:

• Notification shall be sent to: ACTILUM RGB, S.L. ([email protected] and/or Arquímedes 3, 08930 Sant Adrià de Besòs, Barcelona).
• Copy of the purchase invoice or receipt (or equivalent proof of purchase)
• Technical information of the installation when required

ACTILUM RGB, S.L. may request the return of the product for technical analysis.

10 – Ownership of the guarantee

The warranty will be applicable to the original purchaser who accredits the purchase by means of invoice/tique of the product and will not be transferable to third parties without express authorization of ACTILUM RGB, S.L.

In the case of sales to consumers, this limitation of ownership does not affect the rights arising from the legal guarantee of conformity vis-à-vis the selling entrepreneur.

11 – Applicable legal framework

This guarantee is a voluntary commercial guarantee applicable mainly to business-to-business (B2B) transactions.

In case of sale to final consumers, the legal guarantee of conformity established by the legislation in force, currently regulated in Spain by the Royal Legislative Decree 1/2007, which establishes a minimum guarantee of three (3) years from delivery for consumer goods, shall be applicable.

This warranty does not limit or replace any statutory rights that the purchaser may have under applicable law.

The consumer or user is entitled to corrective measures by the entrepreneur, free of charge, in case of lack of conformity of the goods. Such free of charge includes the expenses necessary to bring them into conformity (e.g. shipping/transport, labor or materials) and, where applicable, the removal and installation of the good or the assumption of the costs of such removal and installation. This commercial warranty does not affect such measures.
