Technical Support & RMA

Luxpanel™

Troubleshooting

Reversed connection
Check the polarity of the cable and the power supply, connect them correctly.

Lack of power
Connect the product to a higher power source (W).

Improper voltage
Connect the product to the power source indicated on the label of the panel or cable.

Excessive sag
Fix or replace LED illuminator.

Forced power cable
Fix or replace LED illuminator.

Excess cable
Reduce the cable length to the power supply.

Improper voltage
Connect the product to the proper power supply as indicated on the panel or cable label.

Excessive buckling
Fix or replace LED illuminator

One side of the panel is missing
Connect all wires coming from the panel to the power supply(s).

The panel has the transparent protector
Remove the transparent protector from the panel.

The panel has been directly vinylized
Use a vinyl backing, do not directly vinylize the panel.

Too little separation between graphics and panel
Move the graphics further away from the panel.

Inadequate diffuser
Increase the gap between the panel and the bracket or replace the bracket with a thicker one.

Electrical connection

Depending on model.

This product is designed to be connected to a low voltage DC source of 5V, 12V or 24V depending on the model, as indicated on the cable label or the label on the back of the product.

Uses

No. The product is designed for indoor use due to its IPx4 protection (to achieve better sealing it must be closed in a space that guarantees the required IP).

Yes, as long as the separation between the graphic and the panel is taken into account.

The panel is designed for indirect lighting or backlighting.

It can be drilled with a 3-point bit anywhere on its surface except in the profile area. Any other manipulation of the product will void the warranty.

Not directly. The panel is a light source, a vinyl polycarbonate can be used and placed on top of the panel.

Frontline

Troubleshooting

Reversed connection
Check the polarity of the cable and the power supply, connect them correctly. Disconnect the power supply from the mains for 3 minutes and connect the product correctly.

230V connection
The product has been damaged by a load higher than indicated. You must replace the product with a new one and connect it to a dc source at 24V.

Short circuit
Check for a short circuit along the 24V line and correct the connections.

Short circuit upstream of the power supply input. Only the power supply will be affected. In that case, check the user’s guide and the power supply specifications.

Short circuit downstream of the power supply input. Actilum products may suffer internal damage that may worsen their performance. Disconnect the power supply from the mains for 3 minutes, check the wiring and connect the product correctly.

Blinking
The power supply is at the limit of its real power because its capacity does not match the expected one. Replace with a higher power supply.

Lack of power: connect the product to a higher power source (W).

Check that the power supply is receiving power.

Improper voltage: connect the product to the power supply as indicated on the PCB connectors.

Do not drill holes in the back of the box to avoid light leakage.

Make sure that the inside of the box is white.

Use reflective material on the inside of the box.

Check that the A.F. is not limited in amperage and that the voltage at the product connectors is 24V.

Excess cable
Reduce the cable length to the power supply, if not possible, increase the supply voltage to a maximum of 24.8V.

Improper voltage
Connect the product to the proper power supply.

Some segments do not light up
Verify that the polarity has not been reversed in any of the segments along the line. Check the connection at the connectors.

Over voltage
Verify that the voltage is 24.8V maximum.

Defective item
Contact Actilum and if necessary process your warranty RMA.

Poor dissipation between element and profile
Fix the product on an aluminum base to dissipate heat.

Solder on the PCB, without resting on a metal profile and at a minimum of 400ºC.

Use the right tool.

Send the product to Actilum for repair.
