RGB engineering for illuminated surfaces
Luxpanel™ RGB is a backlight panel designed to generate luminous surfaces with chromatic control, while maintaining the optical homogeneity characteristic of Luxpanel technology.
Unlike RGB systems based on visible strips or modules, Luxpanel™ uses an internally screened PMMA optical panel (LGP) that distributes light evenly over the entire surface.
The result is a continuous luminous surface without visible dots, capable of reproducing different colors by mixing the RGB channels.

These features allow the panel to be integrated into interior architecture, technical furniture or decorative backlit surfaces.
Control and regulation
Luxpanel™ RGB is controlled by standard RGB control systems.
Typical configurations:
- conventional RGB dimmer
- DMX controllers for stage installations
- integration with programmable lighting systems
The panel operates with 12 V DC power supply and independent control of the R, G and B channels, allowing color and intensity to be modified from the controller.
Regulations and safety
Luxpanel™ RGB complies with common standards in professional LED lighting:
- CE Certification
- RoHS compliance
- Energy-efficient design
The system is designed primarily for indoor use, with special configurations available upon request.
RGB color spectrum
Luxpanel™ RGB incorporates three independent LED channels that allow a wide color gamut to be generated by additive mixing.
| Channel | Wavelength | Internal LED flux |
|---|---|---|
| Red | 639 nm | ≈ 187 lm/m |
| Green | 528 nm | ≈ 416 lm/m |
| Blue | 463 nm | ≈ 47 lm/m |
*Flux values corresponding to the panel’s internal LED system.
The final surface luminance depends on the size of the panel, the color setting and the diffuser material used.
Lighting configuration
The panel is manufactured in different configurations to optimize uniformity according to size:
1 side illuminated
- Illumination from one side of the panel
- Suitable for reduced width formats or medium dimensions.
2 illuminated sides
- Optimized light distribution in wider panels.
Both options can vary the engraving pitch to optimize homogeneity.
On long panels it may be necessary to feed the system from two points to avoid voltage drops and maintain uniformity.
Frames and display systems
Luxpanel™ RGB can be integrated into different aluminum frames of the Aureum family, designed for graphic backlighting applications or decorative elements.
These frameworks allow for integration:
- Backlight impressions
- Backlit textiles
- Opal diffusers
- Decorative panels
