Luxpanel Installation
IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
This component is for indoor use due to its IP44 protection (to achieve better sealing you must close it in a space that guarantees the required IP). IP-65 option is possible on request. Regularly check the cable, transformer and all other components for damage. If any component is damaged, the product should not be used. Important information! Keep these instructions for future reference.
WARNING!
The light source of this product consists of light-emitting diodes (LEDs) that cannot be replaced. Do not disassemble the product; the LEDs may cause eye damage. Do not immerse in water.

Stripped cable
Luxpanel power supply
When a panel exceeds a certain length on the illuminated side, it will be necessary to connect the second power cable of the panel.
Reasons:
- It avoids voltage drop by reducing the light intensity at the opposite end to the power supply input.
- In the event of a power interruption at one of the power tips, the other will remain as a backup, preventing the panel from shutting down.
Possible Luxpanel voltages
Example connection of panels with 1 illuminated side and 1 output cable
When panels are less than 1500 mm long, it is sufficient to connect the panel output cable.
Example connection of panels with 1 illuminated side 2 output wires
In panels longer than 1500 mm it is necessary to connect the 2 output cables of the panel.
Join the cables of both outputs, without reversing the polarity, and connect to the power supply or LED driver.
Example connection of panels with 2 illuminated sides and 4 output cables.
In those panels longer than 1500 mm, it is enough to connect the 4 output cables of the panel to the power supply.
We have to connect the 2 output cables of each illuminated side to the power supply or led driver, and the same operation on the opposite side without inverting the polarity.
Dimming
Luxpanel / Luxpanel + dimmer connection
*Do not connect to 230V. Luxpanel is a low voltage product.
Connection to Luxpanel RGB dimmer
*Do not connect to 230V. Luxpanel is a low voltage product.
Data + Luxpanel RGB dimmer connection
*Do not connect to 230V. Luxpanel is a low voltage product.
Connection to single multichannel dimmer Luxpanel xCCT
If it is desired to control a panel independently, a 2, 3 or 4 channel dimmer can be used directly.
The dimmer must be able to control the power consumption associated with the panel to be connected.
If this is not the case, amplifiers suitable for the required power must be used.
*Do not connect to 230V. Luxpanel is a low voltage product.
Connection to multichannel dimmer + multichannel amplifier Luxpanel xCCT
*Do not connect to 230V. Luxpanel is a low voltage product.
Manipulation
Transportation
Panels, especially large ones, must be handled and transported vertically to avoid buckling problems.
Remove the protector
Remove the protective plastic before using Dotpanel.
Do not vinyl directly, use opal on the panel.
DO NOT vinyl directly on the panel, Dotpanel is a light source.
Alternatively, you can vinyl an opal and place it on top.
Drilling, cutting or punching
Joining of several panels
Further manipulation of the panel is NOT recommended. Tampering without implied consent will void the warranty. If necessary, drilling can be done by us according to the indications for a correct final result.
In the event that the decision is made to drill a hole, the following guidelines should be followed, exempting Actilum from any responsibility. Do not drill in the profile area under any circumstances. Use a drill with a 3-point drill bit on the rest of the surface.
If you need to illuminate an area larger than the maximum allowed manufacturing area, you can join (place one next to the other) several Dotpanels to cover larger dimensions, as long as you take into account the separation between the graphic and the Dotpanels.
