Technical Specifications for Flex 182
Flex 182 is a 5-mm-wide flexible LED strip designed for projects that require the integration of a powerful light source into very confined spaces.
Its technical advantage lies in the combination of a narrow format, high light output, and excellent color rendering.
With ≈ 1,400 lm/m, 182 LEDs/m, and a CRI of >95%, Flex 182 enables work on furniture, interior architecture, linear backlighting, and wall washers using a compact, high-performance system.

Relationship Between Width and Power
The most notable feature of the Flex 182 is its balance of size and performance.
At just 5 mm wide, it delivers an output of approximately 1,400 lm/m, which places it above a conventional decorative LED strip and makes it ideal for applications where lighting must serve a functional purpose.
This relationship makes it possible to tackle projects that require:
- Close integration
- High linear power
- Good LED density
- Visual Continuity
- High color reproduction
- Compatibility with compact profiles
Performance by Color Temperature
| Settings | Lumen | Efficiency | CRI / R9 | TM-30-18 RF | Recommended for |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 3,000K 90:60 | ≈ 1,400 lm/m | ≈ 100 lm/W | CRI 92.6% / R9 62.1% | RF 91% | Cozy atmospheres, hospitality, interior design, and furniture |
| 4,000K | ≈ 1,400 lm/m | ≈ 100 lm/W | CRI 91.3% / R9 63.9% | RF 89% | Neutral lighting, retail, interior architecture, and general areas |
| 5,000K 90:80 | ≈ 1,400 lm/m | ≈ 100 lm/W | CRI 95.1% / R9 86.3% | RF 91% | Products, displays, showcases, and visual merchandising |
| 6,000K | ≈ 1,400 lm/m | ≈ 100 lm/W | CRI 94.1% / R9 88.8% | RF 89% | Technical lighting, backlighting, wall washers, and functional architecture |
Color Reproduction
Flex 182 features a CRI of >95%, a key factor for projects where the perceived color of the product or material has a direct impact on the visual experience.
This performance is particularly relevant in:
- Display Furniture
- Display Cases
- Premium retail
- Cosmetics
- Fashion
- Materials
- Interior Design
- Product with color-sensitive finishes
The R9 value is also important, especially in the 5,000K and 6,000K versions, where it exceeds 86%.
Technical Reading by Temperature
3,000K 90:60
Suitable for warm environments, decor, hospitality, and interior furnishings where comfortable lighting is desired.
4,000K
A balanced option for neutral lighting in retail, interior design, and general applications.
5,000K 90:80
The most interesting option for products and displays. It stands out for its CRI of 95.1% and R9 of 86.3%, which improves the rendering of reds, materials, and finishes.
6,000K
Suitable for more technical applications, backlighting, wall washers, and environments where a cooler, more functional light is desired.
Cutting segment
Flex 182 allows for cuts every 38.5 mm.
This information makes it easier to tailor projects to specific needs, especially when working on:
- Compact Profiles
- Furniture with fixed dimensions
- Linear paths
- Slot Integrations
- Localized Backlighting
- Custom Decorative Pieces
The short segment allows for greater precision on-site and reduces the need to adapt the design to the LED module.
Installation
Flex Installation Manual
Flex 182 must be installed in accordance with appropriate technical guidelines to ensure performance and reliability.
We recommend:
- Solder at 350 °C
- Using Flux Paste
- Insulate connections with heat-shrink tubing
- Do not overlap the pads on the LED strips
- Do not use snap-on brackets in corners
- Use 0.3 mm solid wire, stripped and bent at a 90° angle
- Place the strip centered and flat on the Flex Cover profile
- Use a protective cover and lid
- Avoid power strips with screws
- Use Easyconnector for wiring connections between components
Installation with Flex Cover
For a more professional look, the Flex 182 can be installed in a Flex Cover profile.
This setup allows you to:
- Better visual finish
- Protection for the LED strip
- Improved facility cleanliness
- Integration into furniture or interior design
- Using the Protective Cover and Lid
- Neater connections with Easyconnector
The strip must be positioned so that it is completely centered and flat on the profile to ensure proper installation.
Place the module completely centered and flat on the profile. Fix the LED strip in the center of the profile using the adhesive.
Close the assembly with the covers.
Safety and Indoor Use
Flex 182 is a component intended for indoor use; to ensure a watertight seal, it must be installed within a space that meets the required IP rating.
It should also be noted that the light source consists of non-replaceable LEDs. Do not disassemble the product or submerge it in water.
