In the world of design and architecture, every project has its own story to tell, and today we want to share a journey through one of our innovative ideas: the creation of a pendant lighting with custom-made RGB LED light tubes and DMX programming for the official stores of the FC Barcelona.

Represent the institutional colors
FC Barcelona, known for its rich history and tradition, is one of the most emblematic soccer clubs in the world. Barça’s institutional colors, blue and maroon, are a fundamental part of its identity.
But how do you achieve lighting that authentically and dynamically reflects these colors in an official store? That was the question we asked ourselves when we started this project.
Colored light tubes with custom RGB LED strips and DMX programming
Our response to this challenge was to create custom RGB LED strip light tubes and program them via DMX.
The light tubes with RGB LED strips allow a wide range of colors and lighting effects, which gave us the necessary versatility to achieve the desired dynamics in the lighting of the official Barça stores.
However, there was one hurdle to overcome: the team’s signature maroon color is known to be particularly difficult to achieve with conventional RGB LEDs.
Designing special filters for the color maroon
To authentically achieve the color grana, we developed special filters that were integrated into the RGB LED strip tubes. These custom filters enabled the creation of a deep, vibrant red that meets FC Barcelona’s standards.

The pride of illuminating with the BLAUGRANA colors
The lighting system with custom RGB LED tubes and DMX programming was installed in more than 10 official FC Barcelona stores. These light tubes, between 1.5 and 2 meters long, hang from the ceiling and provide dynamic lighting that fills the spaces with BLAUGRANA colors. The combination of moving lights and customized filters creates a unique ambiance that reflects the passion and history of the club.

The Barça official store project challenged us to overcome technical obstacles to create dynamic lighting that proudly reflects the institutional colors of FC Barcelona.
LED lighting has revolutionized the industry due to its long life and versatility in color temperatures. Unlike older fluorescent tubes, LED fluorescent tubes are more energy efficient and require a more efficient power supply. This means not only energy savings, but also the high-quality, long-lasting illumination that LEDs offer.
